An Important Message for Mom and Dad
A well cared for print or album will outlast the subjects in the photograph. These photographs then become an important treasure, valued beyond measure, when a loved one dies. They allow us to hold on to that person, to be reminded from time to time about their special place in our life.
Do you have a photograph of yourself with your own Mom? With your Dad? How treasured are those photos? If you don't yet, how will you feel once they are gone and it's too late?
Hopefully you are fortunate to have at least a few photographs with your parents. That they took the time to be photographed with you because they realised that the photograph wasn't for them. They were just the temporary custodians. The photograph was for you all along.
We know most of you moms and dads are camera shy. We all are, and we bet your parents were too. But your children don't care how you look or that you weren't at your best on that day. Please don't let your children regret not having any photographs of themselves with you.
See How Love Feels. If you haven't already, go grab your digital camera and make sure to capture some images of you, yes you, interacting with your children. Please give them that memory to forever remind them of how much they were loved. And you don't even need a professional photographer to do it.
