Hi! My name is Karen from Kapture Photography and I specialise in capturing the magic of dance schools.

There really is nothing like the art of “dance”. I’ve been at this for more than 15 years and I honestly love it.

Having been a dance mum myself, I totally get the unique buzz that surrounds the world of dance. I know how to work with your amazing kids and turn a photoshoot into a picture-perfect event, run as smoothly as your most rehearsed dance routine.

We can arrange the shoot to be at your preferred time and place, fitting your busy dance schedule. I have large backgrounds in white and grey to accommodate your entire troop.

AND each of your dancers will have their own moment in the spotlight with individual photos.

We will create stunning moments of natural movement and personality while providing a fun and creative event that provides photos to cherish for years to come!

How our Dance Photography Days Work

Photo set designed just for dance

A huge 6 metres wide mobile set to allow for large group shots.

The width of this set is completely flexible so if your space is smaller that’s no problem.

Karen is always ready for the next amazing move.

Dance Background

Karen grew up in the world of calesthenics and dance so has a broad knowledge of style and terminology.

On photo day each child is given a unique series of movements and poses that is appropriate to the dancers style, ages and abilities.

For some classes where technique is not so important – a sense of fun and movement is all that is needed.

Great Captures

Renowned for her split second timing and no blinks – Karen can freeze motion easily.

With a talent for anticipation she is able to capture the moments you don’t even see!

After Photo day

This is the fun part where all the parents and kids get to see their photos come to life.

Every image is printed as a 5×7 and displayed, usually on the day/night of the concert so parents and grandparents can select, pay and take their photos home that very day.

Our Dance Photography Days won’t cost you a cent! That’s right … we don’t charge your dance school anything.

Sales from the photos will cover the photographer’s time both in the studio and behind the scenes editing your images.

Prices for these beautiful mementos start at just $13 for prints and $15 for digitals.

The more your families purchase, the bigger discount they will unlock.

PLUS … your school will receive copies of all the photos that parents purchase to use on your social media and marketing materials.
