This following info should give you a good feel of what we do here at Kapture photography, what a session with us is REALLY like and how to plan the PERFECT artwork for your home.

And there’s that price thing … cause I know you want to know that.

Who is this Karen?

Tiny, innocent, precious babies *squeal* who doesn’t love them? Hand me a cute chubba bubba and a camera and I’m happy! I’m truly passionate about helping families kapture special moments in time and create lasting, beautiful artwork they’ll forever cherish.

I LOVE what I do. Since 2004, I’ve photographed over 900 new Melbourne babies – that’s a lot of chubby adorableness! I’ve always been artistic; I took painting and drawing classes professionally for 15 years. But it’s photography that gives me the perfect creative output; I like to talk A LOT and family photography lets me do that. In fact, clients often tell me how much they’ve learned while having their photos taken. And they usually ask if I can pop round at four in the morning to help settle their restless baby. I really wish I could!

I like to share my passion and knowledge, so I’m also a photography teacher and mentor. And I’m always taking training courses to hone my craft, stay on point with the safety side of things and keep up to date with tech from the likes of Apple, Nikon and Adobe Photoshop.

When I’m not helping families make memories, I’m playing with my own two kids who sure know how to keep me on my toes!

How we avoid those awkward family photos from the start

I’m a bit CRAZY when it comes to photography … I believe the BEST family portraits actually have NOTHING to do with the photography and everything to do with the family.

Yes! I am talking about YOU.

That’s why each Portrait kicks off WELL BEFORE way before the camera even comes out. We start with a chat so I can find out more about you and what makes your family tick – what you love to do, places you love to go, the unique relationships within the family.

Consider your Portrait Session a COLLABORATION where we work together to mash that all up and design a session that is all about YOU … and less about me and the camera.

The end result is the most AMZING photographs you will ever own and Dads who realise “well that wasn’t as bad as I thought”!

Session Fee*

To get you booked in, we start with a Standard Portrait Session Fee of $130 to secure your date in our calendar.

Midweek Evening, Midweek Outdoors and Saturday Sessions are $230

Saturday Sunset Session $350

Your Session Fee is due at the time of booking and covers your Planning Session (where we get to know you), Photo Shoot (let’s create awesome photography together) and a personalised Purchasing Session (where we plan what you’re going to do with the photos).

*If you have been lucky enough to score a special offer from us, your Session Fee is probably included! You may still have to pay a small non-refundable Confirmation Fee to book your session in. If in doubt, please check with us.

It’s All About Artwork, Prints & Digitals

Over the last 20 years we have tested soooo many ways of displaying photography and artwork.

And we believe, hands down, the best way to enjoy your photos is up on a wall … imagine your Walls FILLED with happy family memories and milestones that bring you joy every time you look at them.

But Wall Art doesn’t suit everyone!

Owning a Digital Collection (the blueprints of those happy memories) may be more your jam so you can share them with family and friends or create your own artwork.

So we do both options.

Most families kick off with a Digital File Collection and use the attached Album or Wall Art Credit towards something special for the wall.

Other families aren’t that fussed about the files and jump straight into the wall art and matted fine art prints.

Basically … we have something to suit all styles, budgets and what you plan to do with your photos.

HOW MUCH DOES THE ARTWORK/DIGITALS COST?

There are beautiful digitals and products to suit all budgets and tastes. Simply purchase the ones you love most! Kapture’s fine art products range between $895 and $1895.

WHAT IF I CANT DECIDE?

We’re here to help you! We have a unique way of helping you sort through your gorgeous images to find exactly what works for you! (but we know you’ll love them all!)

CAN I PRINT FROM MY DIGITALS?

Yes, you certainly can! However, it is important to remember your prints and products from Kapture are professionally produced to achieve optimum colour and quality.

Please note that generic labs typically do not use archival quality inks and paper however at Kapture we ensure you have the highest of quality.

CAN I SHARE MY PHOTOS ON FACEBOOK?

Of course! You are welcome to use your digital files on any social media platform. Be sure to share the love and mention Kapture Photography when sharing!

CAN I TELL YOU WHAT I WANT TO ORDER AND GO AWAY AND THINK ABOUT IT AND EMAIL YOU OUR ORDER LATER?

All our orders are done during your Purchasing Appointment. Karen is there to help guide you, and offer any ideas and solutions that she thinks might suit based on your needs and budget.

However, if you do need more time we are happy to schedule in an additional Purchasing Appointment for $375. Payment is required at the time of booking the additional session.

WHEN DO I NEED TO PAY FOR MY ARTWORK?

We ask that you order and pay for your artwork at your Purchasing Appointment. There are credit card, bank transfer or cash options. Payment plans are also available

DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?

Absolutely! Kapture Photography is proudly partnered with Payright to help our clients have more options for purchasing their artwork. Payright pay 100% of your invoice total on your behalf straight away whilst you can spread payment over a 3, 6, 9 or 12 month period! WHAT IF I ONLY WANT DIGITALS AND NO BONUS ITEMS?

Your bonus items are included complimentary and are a reference print for your digital files. These will act as a guide if ever you want to print these images at a generic photo lab.

Please note that these generic labs typically do not use archival quality inks and paper however at Kapture we ensure you have the highest of quality.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR MY ARTWORK TO ARRIVE?

We ask that you allow 3-5 weeks for your artwork to arrive in our studio and to be checked that it’s perfect for you to pick up. Due to Covid-19 this may take slightly longer, but we’ll let you know each step of the way!
