What are you going to wear? Is it for a Newborn Session including family or an Outdoor Session?
Photographing newborns is about the softness of babies skin, the natural airy feel you get when you keep things simple. I just love the overall feel of a set of images that have that cohesive feel. So it’s time for some inspiration of what to wear to your newborn session. Pin it, share it, tuck it away for your next session, or just enjoy. I love neutral colours for example blue with crisp white and gray tones but it can look too cool in photos sometimes. To warm it up, you could add some blush with gold accents, which look fantastic on all skin tones.
Navy is another colour I often suggest instead of black, it always look great!
Choose several complimenting colours. Pick some of your hues that coordinate well together.. What are your family’s favorite colours? Don’t choose one colour for the whole family – multiple colours will add dimension to your images.
Pick one pattern and go from there. Avoid dressing the whole family in patterns. A good idea is to choose one item, a dress for example, with a pattern containing the colors you love. Then choose colors from the item that you love for the other family members to wear.
Be comfortable. If you feel good in your clothes, it shows!
